WRITE A REVIEW -- Chicago Toddler Hot Spots

Is there a place you and your little one can’t live without? Write a review about your favorite hot spot for tots, and we’ll publish it on this Website.

Steps to writing a good review for Chicagotoddler.com:

  1. Search the site to make sure your favorite spot hasn’t already been reviewed. (If it has, don’t forget to add your two cents in the comment section. The information you provide could be valuable to other parents!) Note: Just because a location is listed on the site, does not mean it has been officially reviewed.
  2. If your spot hasn’t been reviewed yet, send an email to info@chicagotoddler.com before you start writing. Put the name of the place you’d like to review in the subject line. We’ll send you a response to let you know if someone is already working on that review or to give you the green light.
  3. Please format your review like the others on the site. Consistency helps readers to find what they’re looking for in a timely manner. Each review must be between 400 and 850 words, and be separated into three sections: Pros, Cons and Logistics.
  4. Your review will be edited and a final copy of the piece will be sent to you before being published. Here is an example of how reviews will be credited: “Review submitted by Katie Dahl, mom of 2 in Villa Park.” You can also send us a headshot or photo of you with the kids to be placed at the top of your review. If you wish to remain anonymous, that’s fine too; just let us know.

Feel free to use this example review formatted in Microsoft Word as a template to put together your review.

POST A COMMENT

If submitting a review is a little more writing than you’re up for, consider posting something about the places already reviewed or listed on the site. You can rate each hot spot on a scale of 1 to 5, and leave your comments. Think about what might be useful for other parents and caregivers to know.

Your comments can be positive or negative as long as they are about the place being reviewed. Only inappropriate content will be removed.

Look through our list of hot spots to see if you’ve visited any of these places with your little ones, and let us know your thoughts!
