The park is always a delight for the children, however, this year ( summer 2011)the PONY RIDES are being given by a company which seems to be abusing and mistreating the ponies. My friends and I brought this to the park's attention and we would ask that anyone else who has had the same experience do so as well.

Please don't close your eyes to the suffering of these animals. If you witness mistreatment of these or any other animals at the park or elsewhere call the department Department of Agriculture Animal Welfare Complaint line at 217-782-6657.

PS This issue is related to the ponies and only the ponies-All the other animals seem to be well taken care of and, as I said delighted the children and us grownups as well.
