This historic village is located near Routes 83 and Old Route 53 (about 35 miles northwest of Chicago). Midwest Bank is at that junction and the Business District can be accessed from Old McHenry Road or Robert Parker Coffin Road.

Long Grove is a little village with cobblestone walkways, historic buildings and eclectic shops. Antiques, artwork, apparel, gifts and home furnishings are among its shopping attractions.
For families, the village offers a full schedule of festivals and concerts. The most notable are the Chocolate Fest in early May, the Strawberry Festival in June, the Apple Fest in early October, Oktoberfest in mid-October, and Holiday Festivities from mid-November through January.
Many of the festivals feature live entertainment, kiddie rides, face painting and educational booths, among other outdoor activities. A calendar of events can be found here.
Seasons of Long Grove Restaurant and Banquets at 314 Old McHenry Road has a kids menu and most of the other restaurants serve some kid-friendly fare. Many of the festivals feature outdoor tents with food booths. Go here for a list of restaurants.
