Hot Spots for Chicago Infant

If you’ve recently become a new Chicago parent, congratulations! A new and wonderful journey is about to begin!

Until your bundle of joy blossoms into a bouncy toddler, you may be wondering if there are many places you and your infant can enjoy together. The answer is YES, there are plenty of places in the Chicago area where you can feel comfortable, have fun and interact with your baby, even when the little cutie starts screaming at the top of his or her lungs.

Check out your local park district and your local library. Many hold free or inexpensive events and activities for parents and babies. There are play groups, where you can learn and share nursery rhymes, songs and stories; socializing groups, where you can meet other new parents and their babies; and even exercise groups, like strollerobics and baby yoga.

Sometimes just walking around a mall can be a good way to get out of the house with your baby. The "white noise" combined with the stroller ride can be soothing for some little ones. You can find a list of kid-friendly malls here, with information about family restrooms and nursing areas.
